What we collect on this site, why, and what you can do about it. Written to be read.
This website, martigan.co.uk, is run by TripleDouble Group Ltd, trading as Martigan, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13609173). Our registered office is Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us through the contact page or by post at that address.
When you fill in the form on this site we collect your name and your phone number. On the contact page you can also tell us your trade and leave a message; both are optional. We use these to call you back, as the form says, and to talk about the services you asked about. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We keep enquiry details while we are in touch with you and for up to two years afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
This site carries a Google Ads conversion tag (account AW-16743583564). We use it to see which of our own adverts brought a visitor who then sent an enquiry. It sets cookies on your device only after you choose Accept on the cookie notice. If you choose Reject, or do nothing, the tag runs with consent denied and stores nothing on your device. The legal basis for setting the cookies is your consent (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, regulation 6), which you can change at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Google's own privacy information is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address, browser type and the page asked for. This is used to keep the site running and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working website (Article 6(1)(f)).
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Set when |
|---|---|---|---|
| td-consent | This site | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected the cookie notice | When you click Accept or Reject |
| Google Ads cookies (for example _gcl_au) | Conversion measurement for our own adverts | Only after you click Accept |
td-consent is stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie, but it does the same job. There is no analytics tag on this site.
Enquiry details are seen by the people at Martigan who call you back. They are stored with the tools we use to run the business, under contracts that require them to protect the data. The Google Ads tag sends data to Google as described above. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Some of the providers we use, including Google and Vercel, process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens it is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To do any of these, use the contact page or write to the address above. We will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change what this site collects we will update this page and the date at the top.
